Recent studies indicate that children are less physically fit today than in past generations. Our martial arts classes for kids are an excellent way for your child to receive the proper exercise and fitness training they need, while also learning the art of effective self-defense and anti-bullying tips and techniques.
Church’s Taekwondo America has classes that are separated by both age and experience level to maximize learning and fun. Children’s classes are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes, so as a child’s skill level increases, he/she trains with students of similar experience.
Your child will learn how to reach their full potential through our confidence building martial arts program. Direct but caring instructors provide expert training in a fun, safe and disciplined environment to produce positive results. We develop vital skills of focus, respect, discipline, self-esteem and responsibility.
We teach children ages 6 and up how to punch and kick… correctly! Our Taekwondo program uses children’s fascination with karate and other martial arts to teach them a practical, responsible self-defense program with numerous other benefits, both physical and mental.
Do you want your child to be better at team sports? Make taekwondo their core activity. We work with kids on their focus, balance, agility, speed, and strength on a level that their team coaches cannot. Our students also gain confidence and valuable self-defense skills. Students and parents also report that taekwondo is a terrific supplement to keeping the children active and fit during off seasons of baseball, basketball, football, and soccer.
However, taekwondo training is not just for athletes! Taekwondo will greatly improve any child’s fitness and flexibility. Our students excel at school, in sports, and are leaders among their peers! They’re having so much fun that they don’t know it’s work!
Kids find that Taekwondo:
- Helps promote courtesy towards parents, elders and school teachers
- Develops strength, endurance, flexibility, agility, coordination, and balance
- Encourages better grades and behavior in the classroom
- Improves self-esteem and self-confidence
- Develop the skills to defend yourself against bullies
